Flat bar grinded and polished with different manufacturing methods
Stainless steel flatbars are produced with following processes: hot rolled, cut from plates and cold drawn. You can get every stainless steel flatbar in different sizes and all kind of surfaces pre polished, brushed or mirrorpolished. If you need flatbars with narrow tolerances you should use flatbars cold drawn according to EN 10278. Flatbars as customized lengths we supply in our webshop. Flatbar sizes from 3/4" to 4" inch and with a thickness from 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" up to 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1". Flat steel cut from the coil in lengths of up to 6.0 metres is the most cost-effective option and offers the widest range of dimensions.
Rolled flat steel to EN 10058 (formerly DIN 1017) in bars is available in lengths from 4.2 to 6.0 metres. The rolled dimensions of stainless steel flat steel offer particular advantages in terms of appearance, as well as benefits regarding machinability, dimensional stability and weldability.
Bright flat steel DIN 10278 (formerly DIN 174) is frequently used in lift construction, plant and mechanical engineering, and in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. Sharp-edged bright stainless steel flat material is also used for inlays in shopfitting, as well as in furniture and as pilaster strips in façade applications.
All-sided ground stainless steel flat bar is available from stock in sizes ranging from 10x2mm to 300x12mm, up to a length of 6.0 metres. We manufacture mitred flat bar cut-to-size pieces according to the following diagram or based on your drawings and requirements. For all versions, grinding on all sides makes the flat steel sharper-edged, particularly in the case of bright flat steel in accordance with EN 10278 and DIN 174. Flat steel in stainless steel and highly polished is also available from us in grades 4301/4307/304 and even in 4571/4404 316L. The laser protection film on ground and finished stainless steel surfaces offers you numerous advantages during further processing. Cold-formed bright flat steel in accordance with EN 10278 (formerly DIN 174) is usually available in bar lengths of 3–3.5 metres.

With the re-stamping certificate issued by TÜV Süd, we can issue a Waz. 3.1 or 2.2 certificate for all stainless steel profiles in our company, provided the relevant criteria are met. This is an absolute must for DIN 1090-certified companies.
