HEB IPE beams with polished surface

HEB and IPE beams made of stainless steel are used in mechanical engineering for pharmaceuticals and also in food processing machinery. The starting surface of laser welded profiles is insufficient for the hygiene requirements H01 to HO4.

EHEDG supports
machine builders and producers of pharmaceuticals and food products with their requirements for the hygienic production and packaging of the corresponding products. So that the advantages of the stainless steel profiles can also be used in the laboratory, they must have fine surfaces. The surfaces are determined by Ra values for the hygiene classes or customer specifications. The task here was to polish HEB beams grade 316TI with Ra <0.8my on all sides.

HEB beams or wide flange beams as well as IPE rods are terms for stainless steel profiles which were formerly referred to as IPB and IPBv in the steel industry. HEB beams supports made of stainless steel with a surface that is ground on all sides and with low Ra values in the range of <0.8my are urgently needed in pharmaceutical process technology and food production. The raw surface of the beams is a breeding ground for unhealthy germs. We have the solution: we grind IPE and HEB beams on all sides to surface values of up to <0.3my. This optimizes cleaning processes and achieves high hygienic standards. The EHEDG brings very valuable impulses for food processing and the pharmaceutical producers and sets recognized quality standards for manufacturers of machines for food with the highest hygienic requirements.

We have been a reliable guarantor for high-quality surfaces in connection with stainless steel profiles for over 30 years. Our certified employees and well organized working structure, guarantee complete documentation of the surfaces produce. With these pictures from HEB beams polished at all sides, we would like to show you the diversity.
